... LZO Professional is currently undergoing final pre-release cycles and is scheduled for early 2011.

Here are some news from lzo:

    http://www.oberhumer.com/products/lz...onal/showcase/

but there is only a compare with zlib 1.2.5 and lzo 2.04

it will be interesting to see a compare with
    - qpress 1.1 from http://www.quicklz.com/
    - bsc 2.4.0 from http://libbsc.com/
    - 7zip 9.20 (with fast ppmd) from http://www.7-zip.org/
    - rings 1.5c form http://heartofcomp.altervista.org/

the best feature IMHO is the complete compatibility with lzo 1.x !

    best regards

    23 Apr 2011 - LZO 2.05 has been released

    http://www.oberhumer.com/opensource/lzo/

    Changes in 2.05 (23 Apr 2011)
    * Converted the configure system to non-recursive Automake
    * Applied some overdue "speed optimizations" for
    modern x86/x64 architectures
and current compilers like gcc 4.6 and MSVC 2010

    "speed optimizations" ..

it seems interesting to compare it with "snappy 1.0"

anyone has it successfully compiled for win32 or win64 ?
