I need to know if .arc file had footer signature /last magic number. I have the header signature/1st magic nmbr it is "ArC." in acii but I need to know the ending signature of the .arc file. I lost some arc compressed file so I need to know it for recovery.

(Active@ File Recovery) and (Active@ UNDELETE) both software can recognize and RECOVER .arc extension
    http://www.active-undelete.com/features.htm

give them a look, and please bare in mind that you dont use the drive that contains the files wanted or you will risk further corrupting them.
use the active software now and recover them!!

    Thank you for information.
but I had used it and the recoverd .arc file was corrupt. Because the signature of .arc file in Active data recovery is not the Freearc's .arc.
I would like to know if you have info about freearc's .arc Header, footer and Offset in decimal.

Well Bulat is the guy you want, ask him nicely another thing you could do is just make a bunch of random archives using freearc then use some program to compare the files and see which bytes match up and use those?

Sorry, I dont have the file signature, but my advice to extract it is to create 2 archives using "arc" and compare the bytes using a program called "Flex hex" by opining one archive and then clicking search and compare. or any hex comparer.sorry and good luck
