    The old pack format

Pack is an old and 'deprecated' format.

7zip and gz can unpack files in this format.

I am in the peculiar situation of needing to create files in this format!

I cannot track down any command-line tool that can compress files with the pack format. Anybody know of any?

(Am on Red Hat 6, if that hinders).
