What is TSC?
TSC is my new filecompressor. Currently only encoding is working, decoding is not implemented yet. Fileformat is not specified yet.
I will update this post if new features are mature:
- multithread encoding
- multithread decoding
- fileformat specified
Here is a Teaser =P
Encoding step: 1
Encoding step: ***
CPU: 16 Threads á 4ghz
RAM: 3gb needed / 200mb per thread
Sadly to slow for Hutter =/
Any wishes what to implement
As usual, decoding function should be implemented along with encoding function to allow people (including yourself) to test the program.
Btw, look like a promising result there.
Very nice! Could you please share a Win32 exe for testing?
RAM: 3gb needed / 200mb per thread / 16 threads
Can you please compile an executable for windows 64 ?
then we can start the program to do a first test
If we should test it with real data
we need of course a program to decompress
the decompress may work slow for the first tests
but it must reconstruct the inputfile correctly of course
if it can use 16 threads - it is very nice.
if we want to compare it with other programs
we need a option to execute the program with only 4 or 8 threads
keep the date and time stamp of the original file
implement the program as a plugin for 7z
- then you have automatically a prooved archiv-fileformat
1mb/30s @ 16 Threads means
1mb/480s @ 1 Thread
currently iam finalizing compression and fileformat afterwards i will focus in decompression.
