    Hi, everybody!

I've managed to make simplified version of Dark to open it's treasure source to you! It's now the first open-source BWT-DC compressor . Feel free to post here any offers/remarks/additions or even your sources: maybe I'll add them to OpenDark and release a new version

It's awesome! Also I think you can look at sourceforge.net and release this simplified version and, if it's possible, the original version of DARK!

    Good news!

OpenDark project successfully registered on sourceforge!

    Welcome: https://sourceforge.net/projects/dark

On the next few days I'll try to organize the CVS and other stuff (I hadn't used before)...

    This is excellent news!

    A few suggestions:

    1. As this is a new project, I suggest that you post this information on several other compression related forums to give it maximum attention. Also post in the maximumcompression.com guestbook.

    2. Make available a working executable to give people some idea of the potential of this project.

    3. Alter your sourceforge forum so that people can post messages without logging in (like the 7-Zip forum) until the project becomes popular.

Also, I have always found the non-secure sourceforge access to be much faster.

    Good Luck!!!
