    PAQ8HP9 has been released.

    There appears to be an update of PAQ8HP9 available.

    Download PAQ8HP9_v0.zip
    The "paq8hp9_v0.zip" file now appears to have been deleted.

    Does it mean that in earlier PAQ8HP9 versions it was irrelevant which switch was used?

    I have no idea! Its something that you will have to test for if we dont get any more information from Alexander Rhatushnyak.

    I ask because -1 produced different result than -7 on the only file I tested with parameter other than -7

    Perhaps -7 is the optimal setting for the ENWIK test.

    -7 is the maximum memory usage allowed for the Hutter prize. The decompressor has to run with 1 GB memory.

    I mean why is another version produced when the first one seems to use different -# settings already
